  • How do I make a furniture donation?
Thank you for considering a donation to Open Door Exchange! Please see our Furniture Donation page for all the information you need to make a donation.
  • How do I schedule a furniture pickup?
Thank you for considering a donation to Open Door Exchange! First, please review our Donation Guidelines to make sure that we can accept your furniture. If your item fits within these guidelines, please email us at or call us at 631-751-0176. Leave a message with your name (first and last), the town you live in, and the type of furniture you wish to donate. We will get back to you and schedule a pickup date.
  • Why is your donation pickup zone limited to a specific area?
Open Door Exchange is run almost entirely by volunteers. We want to respect their time and have reasonable expectations for how far they can travel during pickup runs. We hope to be able to expand our pickup zone as Open Door Exchange grows. Please consider making a financial donation to help make this possible. Thank you for your patience and continued support!
  • When will furniture drop-off be available?
We are closely monitoring the ongoing situation with COVID-19 to ensure the safety of our guests, donors, and volunteers. Right now, we do not feel that it is safe to accept furniture drop-offs at our warehouse. We will provide an update when furniture drop-offs resume.
