Thank you for considering a donation to Open Door Exchange! First, please review our Furniture Guidelines to make sure that we can accept your furniture. If your item fits within these guidelines, then you can Request a Pick-Up, either through ODE for a free volunteer pick-up or through ReSupply for a paid priority pick-up. If you experience any technical difficulties, feel free to email us at donate@opendoorexchange.org or call us at 631-440-8027. Leave a message with your name (first and last), the town you live in, and the type of furniture you wish to donate.

Open Door Exchange is run almost entirely by volunteers. We want to respect their time and have reasonable expectations for how far they can travel during pickup runs. We hope to be able to expand our pickup zone as Open Door Exchange grows. Please consider making a financial donation to help make this possible. Thank you for your patience and continued support!

Here are some other organizations on Long Island who accept donations:Habitat for Humanity ReStore - New and gently used appliances, furniture, building materials, and household goods. St. Vincent De Paul - Furniture, clothing, household items, and cars. Big Brothers Big Sisters - Housewares, electronics, clothing, and toys. Vietnam Veterans of America - Clothing, household items, toys, electronics, books, sports equipment, and small furnishings. Head Start- New baby clothes, diapers, toiletries, mittens, hats, and coats. Savers - Clothing, housewares, toys, sports equipment, books, and games. Goodwill - Clothing, toys, bikes, and baby items.

If you do not see your furniture item listed within the donation guidelines, most likely we cannot accept it, but if you'd like to double check, please email donate@opendoorexchange.org.
