Open Door Exchange offers a wide variety of volunteer roles to fit each individual’s strengths and availability. Volunteers are not restricted to one role, but can choose which ones work best for them. We strive to ensure that everyone has an opportunity to participate in meaningful work.

Pickup Crew
Join us on furniture pickups as a driver or mover. The mover position requires some muscle and the ability to lift objects over 30 lb.

We are always looking for more trucks and drivers to help us move furniture
Client Services
Welcome clients and assist them in picking out their furniture pieces.
This is a perfect job those that love talking to and interacting with others.
Organizing
Help keep our warehouse clean and organized!
This position involves making sure that our furniture showroom is clean and ready to present to clients.
Furniture Repair
Help refurbish and repair donated furniture. This position involves basic repair skills including sanding, polishing, and painting.
We are also in need of volunteers with carpentry skills to help construct small desks and dressers.
Fundraising
Love planning events? Come join our fundraising committee!
Help coordinate events like our annual auction and mattress fundraiser.
